The Security Forces Archive has preserved a written justification for the detention of Edgar's father, Zikmund Semmel, which mainly talks about Maxmilian Goldberger. Prison photographs have also been preserved: the first is Zikmund Semmel, below him Maxmilian Goldberger and below him his wife Eliška. She was arrested and imprisoned, like many other wives, for failing to report her husband's criminal activities to the police.
