In the footsteps of Jewish Brno

Modern world

The Esplanade café was one of the symbols of Brno's café culture. This is one of the reasons why local Nazis targeted it after the occupation. The first attack on the café's Jewish guests by uniformed members of the Czech National Fascist Camp occurred as early as May 1939.
