Hakhshara Hachshara is Hebrew word for "preparation." Preparation for a new life in Eretz Yisrael, then Palestine, organized by Zionist organizations. Young people were educated in agriculture and other trades and knowledge needed for life in Palestine, where they wanted to emigrate.
