We don't know much about Kurt Scheithauer yet. There were many Scheithauers living in Most, but there was apparently only one Kurt. But the last mentions of Kurt come from the time when he was in the third year of the real gymnasium and received a scholarship for the best students. There is no specific Most address associated with his name. That is why this stop is approximately at the location of the Most elementary school, where Kurt certainly learnt before starting gymnasium.
But we do know that after the war the Scheithauers settled in Linz, and they stayed in touch with Shirley Herzberg until the end of the 1980s. We even know what they looked like. Play the following short excerpt of the testimony.
