Watch the ftestimony clip of Anna Weinstein, later known under her married name Lorencová:

Brief biography of the witness:

Anna Lorencová was born in 1927 in Most. After the occupation of the border areas, her family moved to Prague. Although her father managed to emigrate to Shanghai, the rest of the family did not have time to join him. In the Terezín ghetto, she worked in agriculture, helped doctors, and also participated in the prisoners' cultural activities. Thanks to her brother's voluntary registration in the work commando that went to the Wulkow camp, she was not deported and lived in the ghetto until liberation together with her mother.

After the war, she graduated from a graphic arts college. However, even during the communist Czechoslovakia, she did not live withoutn problems, which accompanied her until 1989. As a pensioner, she began to document the memories of Holocaust survivors for the Jewish Museum in Prague.

The interview was recorded on March 6, 1996 in Prague.
