Brief biography of the witness:
Hanuš Hron was born in 1925 in Teplice-Šanov. His original surname, which he changed after the war, was Weinstein. He grew up in Most. After the Munich Agreement, his family moved to Prague. During the Protectorate, he was an apprentice at the Czech Workers' and Peasants' Union, a warehouseman, and finally a mover for the Jewish community. After being deported to the Terezín ghetto, he was sent to the Wulkow camp and from there back to Terezín, where he lived until liberation.
After the war, he became an official of the Youth Union, but lost his position in connection with the anti-Jewish campaign during the staged trial of Rudolf Slánský. He then earned a living as a laborer, and until his retirement, he was a foreman in various factories.
