Emil London, born in Most, decided to solve everything radically and fled to America.
He worked as an upholsterer and saddler at the Ford automobile factory, and became involved in the socialist and anarchist movement. In New York, he met his future wife, they got married in New York and their daughter Flora was born, after which the young Londons returned to Europe. First to Slovakia, then to Ostrava. However, Emil's independent upholstery business ended in bankruptcy each time and his family of seven lived in poverty.
