Where today you can find the firefighters' department, there existed an old Jewish cemetery dating back to the mid-17th century. Initially, Jews were buried alongside Catholics, but gradually the cemetery became exclusively designated for Jewish burials. Around 1911, all remains and monuments were relocated to the Jewish section of the Boninovo cemetery, leading to the neglect of the old cemetery. Interestingly, the street where the cemetery was situated is still known as "Od greba žudioski" to this day.
