Due to its very favorable geographical position between the West and the East, Dubrovnik has been an important commercial and maritime center throughout its history. As a result, Jews, like many others, also migrated to the city due to the opportunities presented by trade. In 1913, the School of Economics and Commerce was established in Dubrovnik, quickly becoming a prestigious state school. Despite changes in its physical location, the school has continuously operated since its inception and remains active to this day, maintaining its importance and influence.
