After the war, few members of the community survived the Holocaust, and even fewer returned to Dubrovnik. Today, the only mention of the medieval ghetto is the name of the street where the ghetto was located - Žudioska ulica (Street of the Jews), which reminds citizens that Jews once lived there. Apart from the synagogue building and the name itself, no other feature would remind citizens and numerous tourists today that there was a large Jewish community in Dubrovnik.
While you are moving to the next stopt, explore the area and search for remnants of Jewish life, take a walk along Žudioska ulica and observe your surroundings.
Make note of any remaining traces that hint at the Jewish presence from the past.
