A small Jewish fountain, also known as the Kosher Fountain, was constructed in 1420 and was initially situated adjacent to the Jewish ghetto. It served as a water source for the Jews residing and conducting trade in the ghetto. During the 19th century, the fountain was relocated from its original position to Pile following the decision of the Austro-Hungarian authorities. A lion's head was added to it, from which water continuously flows. The fountain remains operational and continues to provide water for the inhabitants of Dubrovnik, city visitors, as well as birds and other animals.
