On the ground floor of the new Bet Haam building was a strictly kosher restaurant with two kitchens, preparing meals for those local Jews who observed all the traditional religious regulations. It successfully competed with the kosher restaurant in the renowned Bristol Hotel at the beginning of Dlouhá Street, while offering a classy alternative to the kosher canteen of Charles University, which operated virtually around the corner.
