Jewish Prague

Not only food

This page from another of Heinz's notebooks shows that his group provided other things than just food to the prisoners of the Terezín ghetto. The young people, temporarily protected by the status of their parents or their "Aryanism" basically continued what they had been doing as members of the assistance service of the Jewish community.

The document shows the names and aliases of Zionist youths and their groups, the division of labor, the names of important and unimportant ghetto prisoners, and lists of necessities. Truly fascinating is a note that suggests that "conductor 8863" may have been instrumental in smuggling items into the ghetto.

In what language are Heinz's notes written?
