Kim Hillman Simon

This IWalk is dedicated to the memory of Kim Hillman Simon (1970-2023), a leader of the USC Shoah Foundation for nearly three decades.

Kim loved Prague, which for her religious ancestors from Subcarpathian Ruthenia was the embodiment of the heavenly Jerusalem on earth. During the tumultuous 1990s, Kim, who was born and raised in Malibu, California, lived in Prague. She researched her family's history, worked as a manager at Radost FX and began a career in the film industry. Her Czech was fluent and her passion and enthusiasm for real history was unparalleled.
