Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst, a native of Křenová Street in Brno, was one of the most famous violinists of his time. He worked all over Europe. Despite constant comparisons with Paganini, his contemporaries Schumann and Berlioz admired him not only as a composer but also as a performer.

But few people knew that the famous man came from a Moravian Jewish family.
