Jewish Brno outside the city walls

In front of this house we can find a Stolperstein commemorating the fate of the widow Rosa Wackler, in other materials Růžena Waklerová, from Dolní Kounice.

She was born on 27 March 1847. Just before celebrating her 95th birthday on 23 March 1942, she was deported by the Ad transport to the ghetto in Terezín, where she died on 6 June 1942. She was probably the oldest person deported from Brno.

The question remains why her memorial stone was placed here, as it seems that Růžena was actually deported together with 23 other inmates of the Brno Jewish hospital in the next house.

Now go to the house on the left, at 27 Mlýnská Street, corner with Štěpánská Street
