Henriëtte Pimentel and her leading role in the resistance eventually gained attention and recognition. After 78 years, she received a posthumous distinction for having saved the children from the nursery. In the same year, she received her own bridge in the neighborhood of the Plantage Middenlaan: the former Muiderpoort bridge (see photo).
