You are standing in front of the Monument to Jewish Resistance. This monument was established at the initiative of Jewish boxer Bennie Bluhm, and marks an important act of Jewish resistance against Nazi oppression in Amsterdam during the war. This act of resistance set into motion a series of historical events.
