About the Interviewee

Beatrice Hadidian was born in 1914, in the city of Elâzığ, in the Mamuret-ül-aziz/Harput/Kharberd province. When her family was forced to leave their home, her parents left her in the care of Maria Jacobsen. Jacobsen adopted her as her own daughter. Her interview was recorded on July 25, 1980 as part of the Richard G. Hovannisian Oral History Collection. The collection is available in the USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive.
