The Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex was established under Soviet Armenia in 1967 and is composed of the largest Armenian Genocide Monument in the world.
While the Memorial Complex is open throughout the year, Armenian Genocide Victims Remembrance Day–April 24th–brings hundreds of thousands of visitors, who walk up to the Memorial site from the bottom of the hill in a silent procession, carrying flowers in honor of the victims.
