The Remembrance Wall is part of the Memorial design and was completely constructed in 1968.
Etched in Armenian on the frontside of the Remembrance Wall are the names of 52 significant locations in the Ottoman Empire from where Armenians were exiled, massacred or organized self-defense to protect themselves. Genocide survivor descendants often put flowers under the name of the location(s) where their families originated from and take photographs to memorialize the memory of their lost homeland.
As you move across the Remembrance Wall from left to right, continue this IWalk and watch testimony from survivors who share their personal memories of what happened in some of these locations.
