Jewish Zagreb

The next stop will be the Zagreb synagogue. Head south towards Praška Street, and pay attention to the buildings that were owned by Zagreb Jews: at 1, 7 and 13 Bana Jelačića Square (intersection with 1 Praška Street), at 2A Jurišićeva street and at 10 Praška Street. Marić's passage that leeds from Praška St. to Bogovićeva St. itself is named after the important entrepreneurial Mayer family / Marić.

On the left side, opposite Marić's passage, you will notice the empty space of the former Zagreb synagogue.
