“Zagreb welcomes you” is a sculpture that serves as a model of the city center made of bronze, by the academic sculptor Damir Mataušić, installed in 2013. It is located on a large block of stone that is divided into 14 segments. At this stop you will familiarize yourselves with the basic topography of Jewish Zagreb, highlighting the most important points that you will pass in this IWalk, but also those that you will not, and which are important for the history of Zagreb's Jews. This is where the story of the Jews in Zagreb begins from the moment of settlement to their path to political emancipation.
