In the footsteps of Pilsen Jews

The Building of the Jewish Community in 1939

Activities aimed at improving the quality of life of Pilsen Jews took place in the offices and other areas of this building even after the occupation.

An integral part were courses for emigrants and so-called retraining courses, where practical skills were taught that were supposed to help you get started in a new home.

At that time, emigration and resettlement were still being considered, not deportation to ghettos and death camps that actually happened.
