Exploring the traces of Jewish Český Těšín

Fate of the owner of the Avion Coffeehouse

Rosalie Wiesner fled from Český Těšín a few days after the German occupation, hidden in a wagon full of wood. She settled in Žilina, Slovakia, where it was safer for Jews at that time.

In April 1942, she was deported from the concentration camp in Žilina to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, together with the families of her daughter Ida and son Heinrich. There, they were all murdered.

How old was Rosalie Wiesner at the time of her deportation?
