Unfortunately, sources of information on the course of deportations of Jews from Těšín have not been preserved, so it is not clear how many deportation transports left in total and when.
There were several deportation centres in Těšín, mostly on the former Polish side of the town, but deportees were also gathered in the former Kohn furniture factory or in Grünfeld's warehouse in Český Těšín, from where they were taken to the railway station in today's Český Těšín. Jews from the surrounding area who were put to work in various factories also passed through the same station.
In front of this station you can learn more about their fate.
