The cession of the territory of Teschen Silesia to Poland, an act connected with the Munich dictatorship and the fate of the so-called Sudetenland, is not often discussed in the Czech Republic, perhaps to let the old wounds heal. However, what was perceived by some as the liberation or unification of the town was a major change for the local Jewish population.
