Look around you and notice what you can see on the location where the synagogue used to be.
The war ended, but afterwards the synagogue has never been rebuilt. The community that survived the war was very small, and focused on helping survivors and the recovery of the community. Later, the plot where the synagogue stood was nationalized, and for some time a department store was there, but it burned down. At the beginning of the 1990s, the plot was returned to the Jewish community.
The memorial plaque is the only thing which reminds the citizens of the fact that there was once a synagogue in this place.
