Eva Zelená was born in 1928 in Trutnov, but lived most of her life in Česká Skalice.
Together with her parents and sister, she was first deported to the ghetto in Terezín, and from there to the so-called Terezín family camp in Auschwitz-BIrkenau, where she worked as a guardian of children in the children's block. In June 1944 she was deported to Hamburg for slave labour, and was liberated in Bergen-Belsen.
