The first anti-Jewish regulations were already introduced during the so-called Second Republic, before the German occupation, and discussions about a Czech "solution to the Jewish problem" were held in Parliament at the time.
However, it was not until after the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia that extensive anti-Jewish legislation affecting all spheres of human life began to flourish.
