The Jewish Street


Prewar Żydowska (Jewish) Street was the place where the main institutions of the Jewish community, religious schools and places of prayer were located. The most important of the latter was the Great Synagogue.

After World War II and the murder of almost all Jewish Oświęcim residents in the Holocaust, the street gradually fell into disrepair.
