In 1933, Londorf had about twenty Jewish families whose lives took different turns during the National Socialist era. They were all discriminated against, persecuted and had to fight for their lives. Some managed to escape and were able to start anew somewhere else. On September 14, 1942, Jews from Giessen and the surrounding local communities were deported to Darmstadt as part of the organized mass deportations in Hesse and from there to various concentration camps in Eastern Europe.
