Now you are standing right in front of the residential building Zirkusgasse 22. The façade you see today could not be more different from what this place used to look like in 1900. Squished between neighbouring buildings, the temple was decorated with much ornamentation. Until November 1938, this building was the synagogue of the Sephardic community. The place of worship was called the Turkish Temple.
On the right side of the wall, there is an information plaque. It was installed here in 2017. Take a moment to read the plaque carefully.
