Testimony of Marie Hořáková

The clip from testimony of Marie Hořáková describes the situation in the Jewish hospital as experienced by one of the medical nurses there, a woman protected by marriage with an “Aryan” husband.

The persecution of these non-Jewish men who were refusing to divorce their Jewish wives is a very specific chapter of the local history of the Holocaust. Only in the Protectorate were such men arrested, interned and sent to camps for their refusal to divorce.
