The Touch of Otti Berger - a Virtual IWalk

Legacy to carry on

Her friends did not forget Otti Berger. We believe the legacy, which was stolen from her can survive.

  • You can visit the exhibition “Starting at Zero” on Otti Berger at the Museum of Survivors, Brnenec, Czech Republic, opening in 2025.
  • In Berlin you can visit the Bauhaus Archive to see the work of Otti Berger.
  • You can also see the stone in the pavement in her memory (the Stolperstein) at Fasanenstrasse 13 in Berlin.

There were two books published on her work and life:

Raum, Judith (2024): Otti Berger – Weaving for Modernist Architecture (Bauhaus-Archiv Berlin) – in English and German

Varga, Mária (2017): Between Heaven and Earth – Otti Berger, the Textile Artist from Vörösmart – in Hungarian

Thank you for participating in the virtual tour and following Otti Berger's life and work. At the end of the tour, reflect on what impacted you the most and what you will take away with you.
