The Nazi Party targeted the Bauhaus even before they came to power and the Bauhaus had to move to Dessau. Eventually, the Nazis requested the closure of the Bauhaus Dessau School in August 1932. The atmosphere changed immediately when the Nazis came to power in 1933.
