Otti Berger children’s carpet, 1929 and Traditional Norwegian bedcover

Although Otti Berger produced modern, bauhaus textiles she absorbed textile influences from throughout Europe, particularly from the ancient textile centers of Central Europe, Saxony and Scandinavia. Her children’s carpet was shown in the Bauhaus ten-year exhibition in 1929-30. She also featured a piano cover she had made for Paul Klee.
