We begin the IWalk in the area where the New Exhibition Grounds used to exist. The name Radiotrh came from the majority wares being exhibited: radios and radio components. The Radiotrh collection and deportation camp for persons legally defined as Jews was established shortly after the arrival of SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich, Acting Reich Protector of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia from 1941 until 1942. While the old postcards you will see only capture part of the New Exhibition Grounds, the aerial photograph taken in 1938 depicts the size and scope of Radiotrh and its pavilions.
