Survivor Biographies
Eva Herrmannová was born in 1929 in Vienna, but grew up in Opava. After the occupation of Czech borderlands by Nazi Germany in 1938, her family moved to Prostějov. According to the laws of that era, Eva was labeled as a Mischlinge, a child of so-called mixed marriage. She was deported from Radiotrh to the Terezín ghetto on June 9, 1943. She survived and had a long career in the arts, being a leading Czech theatrologist. In 1990-1995 she was the director of the National Theater Opera. The interview was recorded in August 1996 in Prague.
Antonie Militká was born 1928 in Brno. According to the Protectorate laws, she was labeled a Mischlinge. After being kicked out of school, she was deported from Brno to Radiotrh. She was deported to the Terezín ghetto on April 9, 1943. The interview was recorded in January of 1996 in Brno.
