As you walk down Rue de l’Alzette, look at the pavement outside the shops. You will see Stolpersteine outside certain buildings. The information on the plaques are in Luxembourgish.
Stolpersteine are small, square memorial plaque displaying the names of Holocaust victims who lived or worked in certain buildings. There are Stolpersteine throughout Europe, and fourteen Stolpersteine were embedded into the pavements around Esch in 2013 by German artist Gunter Demnig.
