In the clip Max mentions some religious concepts. Read the short explanation below.
Kiddush: A kiddush is a consecration of wine and bread (plus salt) in which blessings are said over them. The term is also used to describe the small reception after a service that begins with these blessings.
Orthodox: Orthodox Jews strictly adhere to their writings. They want to comply with the traditional instructions as precisely as possible. In Orthodox communities, women and men sit separately in the synagogue.
Shabbat: The word Shabbat is derived from the Hebrew word meaning "to rest." In the creation story, God is described as creating the world for six days and "resting" on the seventh day. The seventh day of the week is therefore set as a special "day of rest". In the Jewish calendar, Shabbat begins on Friday evening at sunset and ends on Saturday evening.
