Jewish Life in Cottbus


We start our walk at the site of the destroyed synagogue. The synagogue on the former Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße (today: Karl-Liebknecht-Straße) was the center of the Jewish community of Cottbus until its demolition in 1938. The history of the Jews in Cottbus dates back to the Middle Ages.
