In March 1912, the colonial goods store “Wallfisch & Sokel” opened at this address. Here, people could buy kosher goods, especially matzo (unleavened bread), for Passover, the Jewish holiday commemorating the liberation from slavery in Ancient Egypt. In the same year, in 1912, Betti and Leo Tannenbaum opened a ritual restaurant for Jewish guests at this address. However, the restaurant moved to Annenstraße just one year later.
Today, the building houses apartments.
